Blog EntryWhat's in a name?Jun 1, '08 12:31 PM
for everyone
Thanks to Maps, I bumped into this website where you can get what your name means

JOSEPH ALLAN

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people.
Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems.
Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Do I look like these two?

I have been getting a lot of comments lately they said that I look like these two.  Flattering... Just want to know what you guys think.

Body Balance release number 40 was launched in Fitness First North EDSA today, May 3, 2008.  More than 50 friends and regular attendees graced in the launch.  The launch began roughly a little over 2:00 pm and finished a little over 3:00 pm.

I did the taichi warm and sun salutations. Miche Ramos did the standing strength and balance tracks. Pamela Mercadero did hip openers. Menchu Alvares did pilates abs and back. Noelle de Guzman did the twist and hamstring tracks. I finished the whole thing off with a nice meditation.

Members were happy with the turnout of the launch

here is this Jacket that I have been looking for for ages.  Since last November 2007, I have been searching for this Philippines Adidas Originals jacket that I have seen a handful of people wearing.  Today, after the Body Balance launch in Fitness First - North EDSA, i bumped into a client of mine and saw the jacket that I have been looking for.  I Just had to ask her where she got the jacket.  Luckily, she said that she got the jacket just this week and stocks were available in stores.

I hurriedly went to several adidas stores that I know, including the one in megamall where they had huge sale ongoing.  Totally bad idea.  The stores that I initially went to either had no stock or had no size available that would fit me.  In the five stores that i went to, I only saw three pieces remaining.

Finally, after slaving my way through the saturday-Manila-traffic, I finally found one in Adidas Eastwood City.  I was supposed to get one size smaller but i think the one that I got just suit me well.

Here it is.  My very own "Philippines Adidas Originals Jacket"

PS: for those of you interested in getting one, there is still one XS jacket available in Adidas The Block, SM North EDSA.  All the rest are XXL and XL sizes.  Thanks RIzza for the info. Love lots to you.

I am so happy that I just had to blog this.  He He He

Blog EntryDay of Pampering!Dec 11, '07 11:01 AM
for everyone
Last Sunday, I did something which i havent done in a very long time. When i woke up in the morning (with a very very bad back), i decided to call my personal training session off. When i went home to our house in quezon city, i found out that my folks werent home and was bored to death.

I decided to go to the Fitness First Spa in North EDSA and start a day of pampering. First things first, i booked a healing stone massage for 1 1/2 hours which includes a 1 hour healing stone session and a 30 minute massage. Heaven! Funny thing is that when the therapist was tending through my back, he said that i had nodules as big a finger. I dont know whether to be happy of the treatment or to be pissed at what he said. He He he. I just took the quiet time and dozed off to momentary bliss.

After the spa, I hit the salon and had my hair done - hair cut, was undecided to get a hair color but i eventually did - thanks to my soon-to-be-mr-fantastic looks then. with white hair growing at my side burns. ewww.... i felt so old. stayed in the salon for a good four hours with other "pampering treatments" on the side... pedicure and hair spa. hmmm....

When i looked at how much i spent for the day... the only thing that i said that... "ITS WORTH IT!"

Blog EntryStressness First!Dec 2, '07 12:35 PM
for everyone
Last December 1, 2007, the Group Exercise Instructors of Fitness First celebrated its 7th Quarterly workshop where Fitness First - Mall of Asia was the host of the whole shindig. 3 months in planning, I was initially asked by our National Group Exercise Manager now Regional GX Manager to spear head the whole thing. Since then, i have been thinking of how to make the quarterly a good opportunity to provide for something fresh and new for my teammates in Group Exercise.. somewhat never before seen or done in a workshop.

First in the list was to gather as many GXIs to participate in it. This was done two months before. Second was the actual prepration which took me a month to put together. I had heaps of plans but due to budget constraints it was cut short. huhuhu.

3 days before the workshop, i started to feel the stress of it all. Single handedly, i took charge of everything, preparation, accounting and all. Thinking of all the possible things that may happen on that day. I pretty much knew what i was getting into, the fact that i have done and prepared workshops 3 times already in the past, this was nothing new to me. But the fact that i had to reach a certain number of registrations just to break even plus the other condition that if it was to do well, Les Mills will arrange the whole thing the next time we'll have it.

The night before he workshop, i had to setup the whole thing in Mall of Asia, just to leave me less hassles to worry about the following day. The amount of people to attend the workshop still nagged me.

On the day of the workshop, it started really strong and ended strong. With the studios filled to the brim on practically every program, i knew that the event was a success. Seeing friends that i only see once every 4 months or less was more than a good thing for me. Unfortunately, due to the fact that there was someone breathing at my neck the whole time, i wasnt able to enjoy the company that i would on a normal workshop. I would just pass at people, go out almost every half hour to have a smoke and just wishing for the day to end.

Two-and-a-half days without sleep was something that I used to do when i was in law school. I never imagined that i would do it again... well i did.

It was well worth all the effort. Seeing all smiles and people taking pictures of each other being together on a such a wonderful day. I jsut wish i could just turn back time and share more happier moments with my team - minus the stress.

I apologize to those people who i brushed off on that day. Thank you to those people who helped me out. A big big thank you from my heart.

Until next year.

Blog EntryYoga Event in Fitness First Platinum TrinomaNov 27, '07 11:17 AM
for everyone
November 24, 2007, Fitness First Trinoma hosted the Launch of the Gentle, Dynamic and Hot Flow Yoga classes in Fitness First Health Clubs in the Philippines. The Dynamic and Gentle Flow classes were done in the Garden Deck of the Mall (area fronting Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf), while the Hot Yoga class was done in the Group Exercise Studio in the Club. It was a busy afternoon for our Yoga teachers showcasing their crafts in-front of avid Yoga attendees and curious onlookers.

The series of classes started at 2 pm and ended at 7:30 PM. We had fears that that the event was not going to turnout good because of a typhoon threat. It turned out to be the most perfect weather for an outdoor event.

Cheers to the Yoga team of Fitness First Philippines... YOGA FOR LIFE

I went to Divisoria today to do some christmas shopping and fine really nice souvenirs for the perticipants of the Les Mills Quarterly workshop. Just to sum up the whole trip... AMAZING! Things that you find in Greenhills and all other malls with flea markets you get 4 times cheaper in DiVi... sosyal. Ha ha ha. It was a crazy experience on one one end. For one, getting there is such a chore. I sugguest not to bring a car when you go there (not that I did... Thank God. I knew what i was getting into). Second, there were others buying christmas presents to... ranging from giveaways and what not... The bargaining I love. I'd probably go back there this thursday to do more shopping...
